The Pickpockets

As bluegrass continues to grow and bend as a genre, The Pickpockets are at the forefront, pushing the unique roots of their sound and jams into new territories. The five-piece string band from Salt Lake City recently released their debut album "Beyond The Hills” - an inviting world of heartfelt lyrics, catchy melodies and gripping solos that showcases their best work to date. Their expansive repertoire and ever-growing sound draws inspiration from all around the world; from reggae, to funk, to traditional and newgrass styles, they consistently are creating new grooves and genres. 

The Pickpockets have sold out shows with notable bands like The Kitchen Dwellers, Pixie and the Partygrass Boys, North Fork Crossing, and High Country Hustle. Having played notable venues like The Depot, The State Room, The Commonwealth Room, The Filling Station, 4 Peaks music festival, Wasatch Mountain Music Festival and others, the band is looking forward to playing the Ogden Music Festival and already has their eyes set on much more. With traditional instruments and futuristic style, The Pickpockets are breathing new life into a timeless genre, Bluegrass.
