Altar

The Dia de los Muertos en Ogden Organizing Committee is seeking the assistance/engagement of our local community for the Ofrenda/Altar we will be setting up at Ben Lomond High School for Dia de los Muertos en Ogden.

Day of the Dead Ofrendas are dedicated to remembering and honoring deceased friends and family. Ofrendas help guide the spirits back to the land of the living on the Noche de Muertos on the night of November 2nd.

We are seeking the community's help to make this dedication a special memorial for those who are no longer with us. We are seeking framed pictures of any friends, family members, and pets. You are also welcome to bring an item that was special or was frequently used by the loved one who is no longer with us. We will use these pictures and items on both our principal altar and on our pet altar.

How do I get my family members, friends and pets a place on the altar?

Please bring items to Ben Lomond High School during school hours M-F, dates to be announced. Monday-Thursday between 7:45 AM and 2:45 PM, and Friday between 7:45 AM and Noon. You must CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE before placing your items on the altar. Office personnel will give you tags to place on your items to ensure items are safely returned to you.

How do I pick up my family members, friends and pets pictures and belongings from the altar after the event?

We ask that at the end of the evening (7 PM, Saturday, October 21), you please pick up your items from the Ofrenda itself, OR CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE, M-W October 10-12 between 7:45 AM and 2:45 PM to pick up items. If there are any items left behind, you can reach us at . We will respect, take care, and safely return the item back to you.

Thank you for being a part of this special tribute.
