"A lot of people tell me they don't like country music, but they like what I am doing," says Junior Brown. "I hear that line more than anything else," which is ironic because a couple of licks is all it takes to erase any doubts concerning Junior's stylistic allegiance. His music combines the soul of country and the spirit of rock n' roll.
"Gritty Chicago blues and rarefied classical chamber music might not seem like a match made in heaven --- until you've heard Corky Siegel bring the two together ... a crowning achievement." - Chicago Tribune
Is it blues, is it classical?
Walking the line between Beethoven and B.B. King and armed with the creative genius and instrumental prowess that have defined his career for nearly four decades, Corky has pioneered an original, genre-busting Chamber blues - a fresh, innovative sound capturing the sparkling qualities of classical music merged with the emotional melodic style of blues, all within an intimate chamber setting.
Winners of the International Bluegrass Music Association's prestigious Emerging Artist of the Year award in 2003, the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band combines gutsy, heartfelt vocals, brilliant instrumental talents and a powerful, contemporary sense of song choice and arrangement into one of the most compelling new sounds in bluegrass today.
The Clumsy Lovers have brought their mix of fiddle and banjo-fuelled, bluegrassified Celtic rock to North American audiences for over a decade. With more than 2500 performances under their belts, their high-energy shows have worn out dance floors and created a loyal following in 49 states and across their homeland of Canada.
"Whiskey-whistling alt-country avant-folk shot through with flecks of jazz, punk rock and heartstring-plucking Americana." – Flavorpill
Leslie and the Badgers is a Los Angeles-based folk-country band that formed in 2006 by the beautiful lead singer and songwriter Leslie Stevens, formerly of the punk band Zeitgeist Auto Parts. They released their self-titled debut album in 2007, which is currently out of print. Five songs from their debut became the EP Greetings from.... in 2008. Their latest release Roomful of Smoke was produced by David Bianco (Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Tift Merritt). The Los Angeles Times said Leslie Stevens' voice and writing evokes Patsy Cline while No Depression wrote that Leslie Stevens' soothing voice calls to mind Emmylou Harris.
Anna Wilson's revolutionary new album, Countrypolitan Duets, creates a magical union of country, jazz and pop by effortlessly blending the genres to form a fresh but timeless new sound that pays homage to Nashville's musical roots.
"I would describe it as country music and jazz music shaking hands because it's a real fusion of two great American musical art forms," Anna says. But that modest description is an understatement, according to noted author/music historian Robert K. Oermann, who says, "Top vocalist Anna Wilson has made the first album that fully marries jazz to country music... Anna Wilson is not just 'shaking hands' with two Nashville traditions. She is embracing them both. Brilliantly."
Back by popular demand, Driven entertained us at the 2010 festival on stage and off!
The name itself suits this band perfectly. Driven is comprised of 5 young and talented musicians that have a love for traditional bluegrass music. The band formed as a simple group of friends that met at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas only a couple years ago. Their hard drivin' sound is inspired by the very roots of this music such as people like Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, and the Stanley Brothers. Whether they're singing in concise harmony or tearin' it up on a blistering instrumental, Driven brings an exciting energy to the stage that can't be missed.
Back on the Ogden Music Festival Stage for their third year running, the Sister Wives kick off the 2011 festival in style.

Stepping up for his debut on the Ogden Music Festival Stage, Kort McCumber is no stranger to Ogden and Utah.
The live performance is... Original Americana! Kort knows, writes, plays, and sings good songs--steeped in tradition, honed over a musical lifetime and brought to life in the present. Americana at its best! Good songs well rendered.

Scotty Haze, a journeyman musician from Ogden, has been involved in the Northern Utah music scene since the 1970's. Scotty has managed to play with just about every musician in Northern Utah. A few years ago Scotty decided to get serious about his music and put together his debut CD “My Life's Cross Roads”. It took 5 years and most of his musical contacts to put it together. It was released fall 2010 with a concert at Perry's Egyptian Theater in Ogden and after parties at three local nightclubs.
